OPERATOR PROGRAMME
Originally devised for specialist police roles, Operator has since been adopted by officers across a wide range of law enforcement roles, including frontline response policing.
Developed through extensive ethnographic research with active ARVOs, CT/SFOs, and UKSF Operators, Operator bridges the gap between operational reality and structured performance training.
Through analysing the realities of the role, we've identified the key challenges, performance KPIs, and non-negotiables required to maintain operational readiness.
At its core is intelligent, adaptable programming, enabling you to hit the minimum effective dose when time-constrained, and expand training volume when your schedule allows.
Operator gives you the tools to maintain operational readiness regardless of shifts, taskings, or life tempo.

who is this for?
Operator was originally built specifically for serving and aspiring ARVOs and CT/SFOs, with the goal of developing and optimising role-specific physical performance.
Whilst tailored to this operational role map, the intelligent, flexible programming structure is ideal for all LEO with the training age and self-awareness to regulate volume based on goals and capacity.
Do I need to be super fit to follow this programme?
Whilst the programme isn’t suitable for beginners, it is built around your individual capacity. Exercise prescription is based on an initial Operator Onboarding Performance Review (OOPR) and reinforced through regular embedded testing. This ensures training intensity is tailored to your current performance level.
You should already be confident with fundamental movement patterns such as the squat, hinge, lunge, and press. Whilst demo videos are provided, if you’ve had no prior exposure to structured strength and conditioning, we recommend working with an in-person coach to build competency in these movements.
You may also benefit from completing the Police Preparation Programme to build a solid base of fitness before progressing to Operator.
What is the structure of the programme?
- Community-driven, rolling programming.
- 12 week training cycles.
- 3 Minimum Viable Dose (MVD) training sessions per week.
- 2 additional training sessions per week, dependant on training goal and capacity.
- 20-90 minute training sessions.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE THE PROGRAMME?
Programming is provided though the TeamBuildr platform, available through desktop, iOS and android app. Alongside exercise demonstration, metric tracking and logging of activity, the app provides community features including a leader board, group chats and feed page.
How am I supported through the programme?
You will be supported throughout by our team of Coaches who you will have access to via in-App direct messaging and group chats. The wider Operator community will also be on hand to encourage, support and share experiences with you.
