BLUE-LIGHT ATHLETE PROGRAMME
Blue-Light Athlete (BLA) is a community-based, rolling programme designed to support serving first responders with evidence-based strength and conditioning.
Built around a cyclical General Physical Preparedness (GPP) model, this is our broadest programme, developing work capacity across varied time domains and modalities.
Each cycle introduces and assesses new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring well-rounded physical development whilst keeping training varied and engaging.
The programme is structured around three core full-body sessions per week with the option to follow one of two training tracks:
Strength & Conditioning (S&C)
or
Strength, Size & Power (S&P)
Strength & Conditioning (S&C)
Based around the principle of General Physical Preparedness this pathway is for the blue-light athlete that wants to develop fully rounded athleticism, featuring low intensity aerobic conditioning, plyometrics, HIIT / mixed modality metcons, and maximal strength & power.

Strength, Size & Power (S&P)
For athletes that want a greater focus on role-specific strength, power and hypertrophy, or want a strength programme to augment other training, such as BJJ or endurance events. This pathway shares much of its structure with the S&C pathway, with the core conditioning elements substituted with additional speed, hypertrophy or power training.

Both tracks feature three full body sessions a week, and share an optional two days of training including a functional, role related community workout.
